An unexpected rise from the Ntcheu federation

Since formation, the Federation in Ntcheu has met far too many hurdles thus far. Amounts contributed in group savings were close to nothing. Turn ups at meetings were poorly low, for both the state and group meetings. The Federation leaders have been working hard trying to get through to the people and progress seems to have been made. The Federation is now doing so well. At the Regional meeting in Lilongwe, it was the district with the largest amount of daily savings and was awarded with a trophy.

“At first we used to meet on the wrong days. We would meet on Saturdays which is a market day and business is on its peak then so show up was very low. Now we meet on Sundays and a lot of people turn up and contribution has grown”, said the district leader.

Ntcheu district has 112 members and altogether they raised MK198, 016 in June
